I am now obsessed with the fact that I can print on fabric (even with my less than great printer). I found this site,
The Wedding Chicks (via Pinterest) where you can print any antique monogram letter in your choice of color for free. So, I used the same directions that I had followed
here to print on that $3.99/yard IKEA fabric that I had for the previous pillow project. Actually, I left the fabric attached to the freezer paper, since this made it easier to frame. I put it in a frame that is semi-shadow box. The picture sits about 1/2 an inch behind the glass. I love the result.
What do you think?

Gosh! That's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love monograms and typography so this is intriguing to me. I may have to go check out that site. Yours looks so pretty. Looks like you bought it and paid alot for it!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! I really want to try the print on fabric thing but I'm sort of nervous I'll break out printer! Ha! Is it printed in brown or red? I love it!
ReplyDeleteI printed it in chocolate brown. And yes - I do worry a little about the printer, but so far I have printed on fabric 8 times and not so much as a paper jam. This from a printer that regularly jams with paper when it chooses to communicate with the computer, etc. etc. (Maybe I'm secretly hoping to break it....)
ReplyDeleteLooks expensive...great project! Love the monogram. I am going to have to get some freezer paper!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Thanks for the link - I'm going to make one too.
