thank you for sharing your thyme

I saw the idea for painting pots with black paint and writing herb names on them here (via Pinterest).  I  had three room parents last year and needed to find a thoughtful but budget friendly way to thank each of them.  I purchased three thyme plants and three pots.  I used coffee stirrers as the sticks.  I added a little card that said "Thank you for sharing your" and wrote "thyme" on the pot.

  1. Hi! Visiting from WOW. I have made pots like this. I am a retired teacher, so we love our chalkboard paint, don't we? I was wondering how you wrote the words. I used chalk, but it doesn't last or look as nice as yours.

  3. @Jane- I painted the word thyme on with a paint pen. It still had the chalkboard look, but no smudges :).
