So this weekend I picked up a couple of pillows at Pier 1 to soften the sofa, and looked around my house for a basket, books, shells, and a plant to place on the tables.
The pillow in the center was a seven dollar pillow case from Hobby Lobby (I added a pillow form that I already had). Hobby Lobby has a large variety of these pillow cases near the fabric department. (It appears shiny in this picture, but actually matches the other pillows very well.)
I found two magnolia prints at Home Goods. I hung one of them to replace a family portrait that hung above this chair (prior to having our house on the market).
I think it still looks clutter free (because it is for sale), but now feels more finished.
Thanks for visiting,

You've done a great job at staging your lovely home for buyers to see. Keeping my fingers crossed for a quick sale!!

Thanks Meredith!
ReplyDeleteHi Eilis! How familiar the whole "home staging" process feels to me at this point but I DO believe that it makes a huge difference! I staged our home for sale and we had a contract in about five weeks! We close on our "purchase" home today and then on our "sale" home in a few weeks. I'll be back to visit. Good luck with your move...I'll be thinking of you! Hugs!
