Sunflowers in the Kitchen

Our house is now on the market.  I have used this as an excuse to buy a few accessories "so it will show better..."
It's summer and I have always loved these sunflowers that sit in the window sill.  They were my inspiration in choosing most of the other items.

First, I found two sunflower plates at Pier One for my plate rack.  I was having the hardest time finding a pair of plates that fit and looked the way I wanted.  Then, I realized that turning the plates slightly made them look different from each other but still matching.  I am probably driving people with OCD crazy....

Next, I found these seat cushions (Amber Provence) at World Market.

I put some lemons in a glass jar (an idea I saw at Pottery Barn).  Do you love the clear counter on the island?!  Let's just say that is not the norm for me when the house is not for sale.....

And this adorable tea towel was at Home Source:

I have wanted a utensil holder like this for a long time.  Lucky for me, Sur la Table opened in our area recently.  They had just what I was looking for:
I am so going to miss this mosaic tile backsplash....but at least I can bring my new utensil holder.

I hope you have enjoyed a peek in my kitchen.

  1. Everything is very pretty. I had those same plates in a plate rack a year ago. Thank you for joining Home Sweet Home.
