I am delighted to be able to use my pine hutch in this area. Two houses ago, it looked wonderful in the breakfast room. There was not a wall for it in my last house, but luckily we stored it. For this room, I wanted to get the white ironstone look, but didn't have a collection of white ironstone. So... I displayed some of my Mikasa Antique White Dinnerware and began to look for treasures like the cow jug found at an antique store last week in McKinney.
Since I love affordable decor and am pretty impatient once I get an idea...
I went to HomeGoods to see how many white pieces I could find for a total of fifty dollars. The four pictures below show my purchases :
Love the strawberry tea pot, sugar and creamer. What do you think?
Here's a picture of the pine hutch with the new additions:

How would you spend fifty dollars at HomeGoods?
Check back here on Friday, September 20th to enter a giveaway to win a fifty dollar gift card to HomeGoods/Marshall's/T.J.Maxx.
Blessings,
Eilis

ReplyDeleteThanks Martina. I am enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteI would have a fun time picking out $50.00 worth at Homegoods. I would probably get pillows.
ReplyDeleteI love your sunroom. I think the Mikasa looks great.
I found you through Savvy Southern Style.

I agree completely, the pine hutch looks fabulous there!! You did a great job with your white purchases too!! Woot-woot!!
ReplyDeleteThe pine hutch looks perfect! I saw a very similar pitcher at HomeGoods recently.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question about how I would spend $50 at HG, my answer is...very quickly ;).
Thank you for joining our blog hop! We are so happy to have you!
I love this room! And your white wares! Home goods is such a great store.
ReplyDeleteYou could try to find another white item that is not dishes, that way your dishes could tie into the rest of the room. Like a little white linen pillow for the chair on the right, or a white watering can full of florals for the center of the table.
Hugs,
Linsey
Good point about needing some more white in the room. I'll be on the look out :).
ReplyDeleteIf we had a Home Goods here in Australia it would be lovely because then I would buy just what you did, they are all perfect.

Doesn't it drive you crazy once you get an idea in your head and you just want to see the project finished. I would have done what you did too and found myself some new items. I think they look fantastic in your dresser too.

ReplyDeleteYou don't need a lot of space to have a gorgeous sunroom in your home. You can do a lot of things to make a small place like this lovely and inviting. You just have to be resourceful and not be afraid to try things that you believe will turn out great. Well, what you did there was absolutely good! I was amazed at how attractive the place was!

Your sunroom looks fabulous. I like how you mixed and matched everything — from the door, to the wall, up to your wooden furniture. Your pine hutch was magnificent too, as it goes well with the brick wall. If you’re looking for a place to relax, this is definitely the perfect place to go!
