I pushed the "easy" button

This is definitely the easiest home decorating I have ever done:

Here's a  before picture of the hall that leads to the back door, laundry room, and broom closet in our new home:

I visited Joss and Main to find a rug. I found a 28 x 90 Sunflower Garden Rug in their Fall Sunroom Sale (which ends Sept.5).  I do have an affiliate relationship with Joss and Main, but I purchased this rug myself.  I ordered it six days ago.  I was notified that it would ship it one to two weeks, but guess what I found waiting for me outside my front door this afternoon?!
So.... I quickly cut a piece of carpet pad to prevent
it from slipping and then I rolled out my new rug:

I absolutely love it!  Why can't everything be this easy?!

  1. The carpet, with it's show stopping flowers, really gives your hall some pizzaz!

  2. Love that rug!

Just found your blog today and I'm snooping around. Love your new home. How long have you been there?

We moved into our new house almost two years ago. It takes awhile to make it really feel like home. Don't you think?

  3. Thanks Stacey,
We moved into this house in August 2013. It is finally feeling like home :)
