I wish I could say that I created this, or that it was my idea...
but I was just lucky enough to see it at a booth in Canton and buy it. When I first saw it and admired it, the salesperson in the neighboring booth said, "If you like it, you'd better hurry up and buy it, because you're the fourth person I've heard going on about it." I guess I'll never know whether she was just helping her neighbor close a sale or not...but that (and encouragement from my friends) sent me running to the check out table.
It's two of my favorite things all rolled up in one: a vintage door AND a bookcase. I actually had a completely different room and use in mind for it, but that didn't work out since it is deeper than I realized and not really attractive if you are looking at it from the side. The shelves are graduated and allow it to lean against a wall.
So... it ended up on the upstairs landing.
All's well that ends well...
I absolutely love it there. And it's a whole new space to decorate for different seasons (or display books, or family photos, or....)
I keep walking up the stairs to make sure it is still there...so I guess it is also helping me to burn calories and tone up...
I am especially grateful to my girlfriends who helped me get it home...
You can see more of our Canton trip HERE.
It was definitely the most unique purchase of our adventure. What's the most unusual "treasure" you've found lately?
Have a great week!
