But there are times when no fabric or paint is up to the job. This was one of those times....
Here is the light fixture BEFORE:
I thought about adding some of those Halloween spider webs before taking this photo for more dramatic effect...
I think you get the idea.
I have seen so many beautiful off-white shabby chic/Frenchy chandeliers in the blogosphere.
They gave me inspiration for what would work in this space. Then, it happened. I was taking a quick look in a lighting store near my house, when I saw it. The one.
AND... it gets better... everything in the store was on sale for 25% off for just THREE DAYS. I had to act fast... and I did.
It is also available in my Amazon Shop HERE.
In spite of my quick decision and purchase.... I still had to wait about a week for my new chandelier to come in. Then.... I had to wait for the electrician to arrive... thank goodness he was early....
When the electrician took down the old
Enough about that...
Here it is:
But wait... I don't want to be like one of those cheesy commercials where the before picture has no make up and the after picture has professional makeup...
So here is the new one with the lights turned off:

I love love love your chandelier! It's so elegant. I have seen those and wish I had a space to store it...so I can use one in a year or so. I have updated a lot of the lighting here and hubby would KNOW if I took one down, that he just put up...LOL
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous!!! I'd love to have one like that.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!! Looks almost identical to my new dining room chandy!

ReplyDeleteYours was one of the ones I had admired and drooled over!
Oh I do love the new one, it is totally perfect for your room. Stunning. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It's amazing what a new light can do for a space!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have to be totally honest and go with the unpopular here, but I don't hate the old one...except for the candle/light portion--that looked a little cheesy. But I do really like the new one! It is a much better fit, and I'm glad that no one has to fear death while sitting under it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with Twirl & Take a Bow! Hope to see you again this week.
