It is REALLY cold here. Perfect weather for hot chocolate, old movies, and making Christmas crafts. I used two inexpensive white zippered pillow covers from IKEA to make these. I just cut out basic Christmas tree shapes from green burlap and tacked them on. Sewing something onto an existing pillowcase is probably harder that sewing it onto a piece of fabric, but very doable.
Then I added the white pom pom trim to one. I'm sure this wouldn't hold up in the washing machine. It will just give a little Christmas coziness to my back porch.
For the second pillow I sewed on little pieces of ribbon (gathered in the middle to make a bow shape) with red buttons.
Hope you'll come back to see my porch when I decorate it for Christmas!
Blessings,
Eilis
