Lamps at Last

Our family room has been in need of new lamps ever since we moved.  We had one table lamp in this area of our old house.  In our new home, this room screamed for two (one on each side of the sofa).  My  search ended a few days ago.  I found two of these at Kirkland's for about $6o each (including the shades).

There are now twenty days of school remaining until summer vacation. While I love teaching kindergarteners, my house is feeling pretty neglected.   I have several projects lined up....

I started the first of my projects this afternoon.  I will be chalk painting a new grandfather clock to give it the French/Shabby look.  Here's a tease....
I purchased it from Joss & Main.  The beauty of this project is the fact that I will be painting and waxing the individual pieces before I assemble it.  Huge thanks go to Courtney at French Country Cottage for highlighting this piece when it became available at Joss & Main for a little over two hundred dollars.  Courtney shared directions for how she painted a similar clock.  I will be working with colors that work with our home, so I will be using different paint and wax.  Stay tuned.

Hugs,

Eilis
