It now matches a chair I painted with Pure White ASCP and dark wax months ago.

The hitch was a hole cut in each desk for hotel wiring. First, I filled it with a filler for sheet rock repairs. Once that shrunk, I added two layers of wood filler.
The final result of the patch was not perfect, but I like the "patina" that shows through the chalk paint.
I painted the top of the desk with ASCP in cocoa. Fortunately, when I went to Lady Butterbug in Plano for paint, they had a chest of drawers painted in these two colors on display. I loved the combination and this gave me the idea of using cocoa on the top. Actually, I was able to cover the top (two coats) with one trial size jar of cocoa. But, something tells me I'll be buying more of it soon....
Yes, as a matter of fact...
I did look forward to coming home from work today!
Hugs,
Eilis

This is so pretty, Eilis! Love the color. I have, yet, to go to Lady Butterbug. I have some pieces that I'd like to try the chalk paint on. You have inspired me!
ReplyDeleteSo much better! I would look forward to that desk, too. It doesn't look at all like the hotel furniture we can get here. Sigh. Too far to ship from Dallas, too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it!
What a wonderful change. Love the new look.
ReplyDeleteLots of blessings from South Africa
