Be My Guest

I'm nursing a swollen ankle at the moment, but that's not keeping me from shopping for vintage items for the guest bedroom.  While I sometimes love to walk miles in search of unique treasures, I am discovering that it is a lot easier to find them from the comfort of my own home.

I found all these items on my new favorite shopping site, Chairish.com

  1.         Next Maria Theresa 24 Light Chandelier
  2.         Shabby Chic Syroco Style Wood Composite Mirror
  3.          French Country Dresser
  4.         Antique Bar Harbor Wicker Chair
  5.        Antique Swedish Iron Bed
  6.       Louis Bosa Original Oil Painting
The guest bedroom is a perfect place to incorporate two of my favorite styles, shabby chic and lakehouse. Who wouldn't feel comfortable spending a few nights in this mixture of vintage beauty and homey comfort?

Just add some crisp white cotton sheets, plenty of pillows, and lots of chenille for good measure. I am completely in love with the painted dresser.  Anyone's clothes would adore to spend time in it's drawers.  The brass bed and wicker chair offer the eclectic feeling that I want for the room.  They complement each other without being matchy-matchy.

Charish.com will be offering a Vintage Furniture Buying Guide very soon.  Please check back here for the link.  I can't wait to read it.

In a previous post, I shared some welcoming baskets that I leave out for over night guests to ensure that they have everything they need.  I want my guests to feel as comfortable as they would at a premium hotel while enjoying the unique atmosphere of a beloved bed and breakfast.

Looking forward to your next visit,
