The Sun Came to the Cottage Bedroom

The sun is back in North Texas!
We needed that rain, but wow...
It was literally "when it rains, it pours" around here.

I took a few more pictures of the cottage bedroom today with the benefit of natural light. (Being cooped up in the rain this weekend, I hung two Ralph Lauren table cloths that I purchased at HomeGoods a year ago.)
I loved the butter yellow color in this bedroom when I first saw it.  I envisioned giving it a cottage feel, but it was way down on my "to do" list.
It has been the room where the perfectly good furniture that no one else wants right now....goes.
After two years of living in this house, I'm getting around to giving "the yellow room "some love.
Love, but not much money...
One of these days a perfect headboard may fall out of the sky..
But in the mean time, I love these flowered tablecloth drapes.

In the short term, I'm hoping to find a patterned (maybe plaid) comforter to lay at the foot of this bed.

Blessings,

Eilis

  1. What a pretty room! Our last house was painted in a Sherwin Williams color called Echelon Ecru. It was actually a soft color like that and it was wonderful. I love the cottage feel you've added in there. With the window above the bed, I don't think you have to have a headboard. I'll help you make a padded one if you want to though. That's what we did in the room I'm working on right now. Easy. :)

    1. Thanks, Stacey! I once painted a kitchen (with white cabinets) this color and loved it too!
