My Heart is Warm

Hoping that you are warm and cozy wherever you are.

I have written and rewritten this post.  How can I express how fortunate  I feel to be where I am when people who live just across a lake from me have lost so much in the recent North Texas tornadoes?

One day we were all enjoying spring weather in December...resisting the temptation to turn on the a/c on Christmas...
The next night, we were hearing storm weather sirens and watching the moment by moment updates on the local news.

Today, everyone in our community is asking how we can help our neighbors.  There are heartwarming stories of families finding their pets and restaurants donating meals.  The Red Cross and local churches are helping displaced victims of the storm.  Social media is being put to wonderful use by "regular people" in getting things to those who need them.

It is now cold outside, but my heart is warm and cozy.

  1. The randomness of tragedy is very humbling to me.But It is always good to see our community reaching out in love to comfort and help others. So glad you are safe.:-)

  2. It's just terrible when things like this happen but so incredible to see how people come together. We lived in Oklahoma for 23 years and saw this played out time and time again. So glad you are ok on your side of town. :)
