Happy Spring

My little brother gave our mom a wonderful birthday present a few years ago.  He knew she would enjoy a membership to the Dallas Arboretum more than a flower arrangement.  I was a beneficiary of his gift as well, since the pass is good for two people (and parking), and I am the designated driver.

Today, we went to Dallas Blooms, which was named one of America's Best Spring Floral Festivals by Fodors Travel, 2015.
This is a small sample of the tulips we enjoyed.

The cherry blossoms were so full and white, they didn't seem real.

Here's my mom in her element.
We also enjoyed a wonderful outdoor lunch at the Restaurant DeGoyler.

The Dallas Arboretum is not to be missed, especially in March!  Just wear your comfortable shoes, there is a lot of ground to cover.

  1. It looks wonderful! One more place to put on my list if I ever get to Texas....a desire of mine since I see so many blog posts about your wonderful state.

  2. This is one of my favorite spots on planet earth! I really need to get a season pass.
Looks like a wonderful day and your Mom does look so happy:)
