A Patio Table at Last!

We have lots of places to sit in our backyard.  There are also several small tables to put a drink down on.  Until now, we've never actually had a dining table outside.

I recently found this one at Amazon.

I love it for three reasons.

1.  It was delivered to my front door in two easy pieces.  I was able to carry them separately from the front door to the place I wanted the table.  Once outside, I just had to twist a few screws.  It was very easy to assemble.

2.  The mesh top means that the rain can go right through it and wind shouldn't knock it over.

3.  It is relatively small.  I didn't want to fill up the limited patio area with a huge table.

Here's the affiliate link.

I found the chairs in the garden department at Walmart.  Four of them fit in the back of my small SUV.  I knew my husband would like the stars and the coil springs.  They were also made in America and priced under $60 each. There was also a flowery option.

The outdoor pillows were a recent Target Dollar Spot find.  They were five dollars a piece.  The placemats and plastic tumblers also came from the Dollar Spot.  These bright colors would never work inside our house, so I like to use them outside.
The cute utensil carrier is from Cost Plus World Market. It's really handy for bringing everything from the kitchen to the patio.
And while I have you outside....
I have to brag about the flowers outside our back door.

I purchased six 6 packs of dianthus from the clearance shelves at a home improvement store in February of 2015 for a dollar each (six bucks total).  Here they are over a year later.  I think they have been the best value I have ever gotten for six dollars. I'd like to tell you that I have taken great care of them, but I haven't.  I guess they like the faux faucet rain gauge.

Heartfully,

Eilis

  6. I like the newest addition to the back patio!!! The colors that you chose for your chairs and placemats are perfect! I envy you and your warmer weather, Eilis, because just yesterday we had FREEZING rain! Our Ohio weather is a bit fickle this time of year. Your dianthus flowers look so pretty already!!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Eilis:)

  8. Your flowers are gorgeous! That was an excellent deal. Several years ago I had Dianthus planted, but they were finicky and did not survive the winter.
