Adding White Touches in the Kitchen

I've mentioned before that I really enjoy decorating the large round basket on the kitchen island for seasons and holidays.  Since there are no holidays to work with at the moment, and since I've been pretty busy with other things outside of home, I came up with this.

This vignette is my latest effort to brighten up the dark granite kitchen island in our windowless kitchen.  I placed  two Battenburg lace napkins so that they pretty much cover the rope handles.  The fresh green cuttings last for weeks in water.  They make a  great low maintenance alternative to fresh flowers.

I hope you are having a wonderful week.
