Consignment Store Goodies

We've been using a sofa table as our entry table for years.  It was fine until I added the two candlestick lamps.  Then, the electric cords were driving me a little nuts.  Having done all I could to hide them, I really wanted to find a piece of furniture that the cords would go behind.  Yesterday, I drove to a consignment store on the other side of the city and it was worth the trip!

This piece had been at the store for a month or two, so the price had dropped several times.  It was just too low to pass up.  I checked carefully for flaws or chips.

The dainty painted flower border completely won me over.

Then, a saleslady showed me the matching mirror.  The two pieces had come in together, but ended up in different spots in the store.

I had planned to use the mirror we already had.... until I saw this.  I think I actually like the mirror even more than the cabinet.

Both pieces are very happy to be reunited in their new home!

    1. Jemma and Carol,
It was Furniture Buy Consignment. I started at the McKinney location, but found this at the Frisco one.

  9. Hello Eilis, It's nice to "meet" you. I have enjoyed scrolling through your posts. I, too, am in the Dallas area and wondered which consignment store you found the great cabinet for you entry at? Thanks, and thank you for all the work you put into your blog for all of us to enjoy. Blessings, Becky M.
