Blogger Craft Retreat

I'm still kind of floating on air.  Last week, Jemma  from At Home With Jemma invited a bunch of bloggers to her home for a craft retreat.  Here she is in her stunning kitchen.  Jemma and Stacey of Poofing the Pillows served us a delicious lunch, complete with desserts.

KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms shared her beautiful fabric line with us.

I got to meet her!

She just might be the bubbliest person that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.  I also learned that the first syllable of her name is pronounced like "car."

Laura of Decor to Adore and Judith of Botanic Bleu shared wonderful crafts with us.

Laura had us making button magnets, fancy clips (for chips or gift bags), and buntings out of KariAnne's fabric line. Laura also made an adorable needle case for each of us.

Judith shared an art technique where we stamped butterflies on vintage dictionary pages, filled in the outlines with watercolor, and trimmed around the wings. We then layered our work on scrapbook paper mounted to foam board.   Here's mine.  I mounted it on a map of Italy to remind me of our recent trip there.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Heartfully,

Eilis

  3. It was so nice to meet you and I agree that afternoon was great. Your crafts look fantastic, I'm loving that fabric and I don't even sew. I'm working on a project later this week that I can hardly wait to share. Hope you have a fun week.
