Summer Country Bedroom

I just freshened up this bedroom for weekend guests, come take a peek.

I changed out the duvet cover and pillows with this affordable gray set from IKEA.  The ticking stripes look great with the yellow paint and Ralph Lauren (table cloth) curtains.

All the feminine touches in this room will be packed away soon.  One of my sons has decided to move back home for a while to pick up college where he left off a few years ago.  He was tired of school and managed to get a job that paid the rent on an apartment.

Three years later, he has a different perspective on things.  I'm glad this "spare" bedroom is here so he has this option.

Heartfully,

Eilis

  2. This is so lovely. You have quite the eye; I would have never thought to put those curtains and duvet together, but they are stunning! And I love the shelf that fits perfectly on that unique wall.
But to have your son back with you...how exciting. You can always redo it again, right?
Visiting you from Thoughts of Home on Thursday. So nice to meet you! :)
