Summer in the French Country Living Room

Summer is definitely here.

It's way too hot to do most of the things I need to do,

but perfect weather to stay inside and change a few things around.

I put away everything that had been on the sofa table and replaced it with my "French boy" statue, flower arrangement, and one tall candlestick. (The silver plate wine bottle coaster under the statue is to prevent scratching the table.)

I also tried the pair of French candlestick lamps on the buffet.  I think one lamp is better on the entry table.  I "stole" this one from our bedroom.

Change can be refreshing.

The temperature may not be any lower, but it feels a little cooler.

Must be time to sit down with a cold class of iced tea and enjoy.

Heartfully,

Eilis

  1. Good Morning!
It is so hot isn't it?
I just dread this time of the year, but you have the right idea on staying inside and tweaking our homes.
I so love your French Country style and the soft cooling hues, beautiful!

  2. Eilis, your vignette is so pretty. The flowers are a beautiful touch. My daughter and I were out shopping yesterday; and all we could say was, "It's hot"! Your home looks beautiful!
