Still the One

On a recent visit to Rise No. 1 in Dallas, I was inspired to make some original seat cover cushions for the wicker chairs in our sunroom.  The delightful restaurant had the same chairs, but their seat cushions were not plain solid off-white like ours.

I had this Waverly fabric left over from a project two houses ago.  Actually, I had forgotten I had it until I went looking for something else in a closet.

Sometimes it pays to be a pack rat who would bring a few yards of fabric along to the next two houses.  As long as you like the fabric.  And I still do.

It's a little like hearing a song on the radio that you haven't heard in years.

Heartfully,

Eilis

  2. Your sunroom is so beautiful and young. I loved the overpowering brown color and that very green plant is giving a contrasting shade. A set of jute is looking perfect and that brick wall is mind blowing.

  4. Ellis,
I love your blog! This is my first visit and I thank you for stopping by Still Woods Farmhouse and giving encouragement regarding my son's kitchen cabinets. The fabric is lovely and looks nice in your sunroom.

  6. The set is very pretty. I am always drawn to floral prints. It is a great way to have flowers in the house.

  8. I think I have that same fabric on my dining room chairs! I have them covered in slipcovers right now, but I'm pretty sure that's what's underneath. Ha! I agree that it's good to be a pack rat sometimes. I have often be relieved that I didn't throw something out.
