Cherishing a Memory and a Giveaway

We had some crazy beautiful weather in North Texas on New Year's Day.  It was so nice, that we decided to take our boat out on the lake for a couple of hours in the afternoon.  The water was very calm and the sky was just breathtaking.  While waiting by the launch for my husband to back the trailer down, I snapped a picture of the sunset with my new iPhone 7.  If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that photo already.

(If anyone who knows about boats is wondering why our boat is not "winterized," it is because my husband keeps his new baby in the garage and runs a space heater when it freezes....  He hated to give it up for all the winter months.  Now I agree. I'm so glad we were able to enjoy it on that January day.)

With all the the photos I take and the technology available today, I don't often get around to printing and framing photos for our home.  Sadly, these special memories get stuck floating around in the cloud. So, when I was contacted about writing a post on Canvas Factory, I knew just the photo I wanted to feature in our home.  Canvas Factory provided this 20 x 16 canvas photo print (value of $38.70) to me.  I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions are my own.

It arrived in just a few days, very well packaged and all ready to hang on my wall. I was delighted with the quality.  I felt like my little phone picture had become a work of art.

It is about an inch in depth.  There were different choices for wrapping the canvas.  I chose the Gallery Wrap (image wrap).  I love how the water looks with this treatment.

I am hooked.  Next, I plan to order a canvas collage from Canvas Factory.
Be sure to check out their website to see all the creative options that are available.  Prices start around $22.00.  These would make wonderful gifts and it would be easy to add words to photos using a photo editing website.
If you would like to win a free 16 x 20 canvas print of your own photo, just leave a comment here.
On February 1, 2017, I will pick one winner (at random) from all the comments.
Good luck!

  1. Oh my goodness, Eilis, please count me in! I am so excited because just yesterday I was telling my husband I need to look into this! We have the most beautiful little granddaughter and I have been wanting to get one for us, and one for them and have the BEST picture for it.

I am keeping my fingers crossed- thanks so much!

And a side note: I grew up on the northcoast of Ohio - it's so far north that we used to water ski to Canadian waters all the time. Loved it. Boy, though, back in the day when winter was truly winter? We winterized dad's vintage wooden boat early just to be safe. These days it is a fun thing to know your hubs loves his "baby" so much that he keeps it closeby and heated...this wacky winter weather had you out in it recently? How fun is THAT!

Your chose an excellent pic for your canvas. Thank you for the generous giveaway opportunity!!!!!!!! : - )

  2. I really must look into doing this. I have so many beautiful sunset photos of Lake Superior, and it's a shame that they're all resting quietly in my laptop and on tiny USB flash drives!
