Friends, Paint, and Cupcakes

This weekend I was lucky enough to attend a Brighton Workshop for bloggers.
It was held at an adorable bakery called Sweet Face in Royce City, TX.
How cute is this place?!
This chalkboard wall and windows set such a happy tone.
Wouldn't it be fun to have a special little girl's birthday party here?
Yes, as a matter of fact, we did indulge.
There were delicious desserts and even fresh fruit for us to choose from.
Carole of Garden Up Green gave us some great stenciling tips before turning us loose.
Then we made some to take home.
The Flower Market one is mine.
Look for it in a future post, surrounded by lots of flowers.
Carole gave us cedar boards that had been intended for fencing.  She had already sanded them for us.  Crafting where someone else gathers the supplies and does the prep work.
I could get used to that kind of pampering!
Jemma of At Home with Jemma and Carole both shared lots of advice on blogging and getting published in print.
My favorite part of blogging is getting to know some wonderful people.  These two ladies live in my area and are always willing to share their experiences and talents.

Have you shared something on this week's Monday Social yet?
Have a wonderful day!

  1. I saw this on Jemma's and Stacey's too -- it looks like such fun. I told them both I wish I lived closer to TX so I could play with you all and be creative. It's like grown-up sandbox! I love your sign and I can't wait to see it in a future post. What a rewarding time. I love it!
