Spring Refresh

Spring is definitely my favorite season.
Seeing new green growth on the trees and colorful flowers everywhere is so uplifting.

Can you believe the mixed flower basket (intended for hanging) was a recent Walmart find?
This is the area outside our backdoor.  I bought these cute little bistro chairs at IKEA last year.
This area is wishing for an old fashioned watering can, don't you think?

Out with the old brown patio rug and in with a new one in my
my favorite shade of blue (to match some pillows I changed a couple of weeks ago).
I found it at Joss & Main.

The outdoor table is new, too.  The old one had a glass top that was just always dirty.
I'm hoping this one will be lower maintenance.  It is from Target.

I gave this blog a little spring refresh as well.
I'd love to hear what you think about it.

The front yard is my next big project.  It has lots of empty spaces to fill.
Stay tuned.

  1. Everything is so pretty and fresh at your house and here on the blog!! Your new picture is great too. :)

  2. Your blog and porch refresh are both amazing. I love them. Your new picture is darling! I love your new header.

  3. Eilis, your porch looks beautiful! I love the new rug you purchased, too. We just bought new outdoor furniture, and I am looking for a pretty blue rug and new pillows. I hope that you are having a wonderful Saturday!!!

  4. We used to have glass tops at the cottage on the outdoor furniture -- let's just say you nailed that one right! We don't have those anymore either for the same reason.

I love that flower basket. While it's still too early for anything outdoors but the first spring bulbs, it's a good reminder not to forget Walmart when I'm looking for spring flowers. Soon. Soon. Soon...

  5. Your new spring header is so cute! I saw those same bistro chairs and a little table at IKEA and didn't get them. Of course, I regretted that I passed them up.
Your porch is looking great. I think I need a rug on my porch but right now it needs a scrub more than anything to get up the pollen. I hope the pollen is over but I am not sure.
Your pic looks cute too. Have a great week.

  6. You need to make a little trip south...I have a number of vintage watering cans so you could take your choice!!! You and Stacey need to wander down this way one day. We could visit and look around the area!
I love your mixed "bouquet" of flowers and I can vouch for the Target stays lookin' good!
