In an effort to streamline operations and focus on its most profitable stores, Taco Cabana is closing 15 locations across Texas. The affected stores are located in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. All of the closures will be completed by the end of October 2019.
This isn’t the first time Taco Cabana has closed stores; in fact, the chain has shuttered over 60 locations since 2014. However, this latest round of closings represents a significant portion of the company’s overall footprint; after these 15 stores are gone, Taco Cabana will only have about 130 locations left in operation. Despite the closings, Taco Cabana remains committed to its core markets and plans to continue growing in those areas.
